Rohna is coming back bigger and better this year with their new single titled “Renew” releasing April 14th. Rohna is an up-and-coming indie rock band from Tampa, Florida that focuses on making a special connection with their fans and listeners all while bringing something new to the table. The band incorporates indie and alternative styles with a mix of psychedelic rock to perfectly tie their sound together. Rohna quickly formed a name for themselves in their home state of Florida after performing multiple shows and even had a self-booked East Coast tour, along with opening for multiple acts both nationally and internationally. For a band who is dedicated to getting their name out there and forming a dedicated fanbase, I’d say they’re off to a stellar start. 

“Renew” is a fresh, laid-back, indie rock track that perfectly sums up who Rohna is. This is a type of song you want to blast during a late night drive with your best friend and the wind blowing in your hair. Listening to this song is like an escape from reality as you can completely unwind and tune out the rest of the world in such a beautiful, hypnotic way. From start to finish, this song keeps you on the edge of your seat. Between the incorporations of the guitar to the astonishing vocals to the drums - all of these elements tied this track together, making it a killer 2021 debut track for the band. 

The four longtime best friends - Nick Rovello, Luca Canalungo, Andres Hernandez, and Austin Burdi - got together and filmed a music video that brings the song to life, incorporating a trippy element to the mix. From the moment the video started, I was drawn into the pops of color and trippy visuals that helped bring the song to life. The band wore matching white t-shirts as the soft pastels mixed with just the right amount of bright colors spoke for them. It was hard to look away from the screen as it was a desperate need for more. I do believe this video and song will be a fan favorite - or at least ranked highly for people - as it is unique and eye catching yet simplistic and raw. 

Rohna has their hearts set on bringing new music all throughout 2021 to continue making a name for themselves as a fresh new face of all things indie rock and I’m here for it. This was my first time listening to them and they are already on a few of my playlists. I can’t wait to see what is in store for the band and follow them on their future endeavors. Their dedication will surely pay off in the long run as it is evident in everything they create and that passion transfers to their listeners. Rohna is definitely a band that is a force to be reckoned with as nothing will stand in their way from achieving their dreams.
