The Immersive Experience of Coin’s Rainbow Dreamland Tour

Valley

Valley took the stage opening for COIN at a sold out show at the House of Blues Chicago. This show in particular was a special one for the Canadian band. They have a song written about Chicago and another song that mentions the city multiple times, both of which were included in their set.

The set list included songs like the dance worthy “Tempo” and the rock inspired “Cure”. They sang the popular track, “There’s Still A Light In The House” and fans had signs they held up throughout the set. It’s no surprise that the crowd was there for Valley just as much as they were there for COIN. The energy was bouncing off the walls. Valley proved how a show should be opened and the fans were engaged, singing every word.

Before leaving the stage, they did not shy away from exclaiming how grateful they were for the crowd's energy as well as the opportunity to be opening up for a band such as COIN.

Coin

COIN opened the show at the sold out House Of Blues Chicago by front man, Chase, walking slowly on stage appearing in a mask with the album cover to their latest single, “Chapstick” glowing on the LED screen. As soon as he removed the mask, the band and the crowd erupted in infectious energy as the song started to play.

Chase was beaming with energy as he worked both sides of the crowd by climbing on speakers and standing on barricades. At one point, he even stood on the barricade in front of me, as me and the people around me held him upright as he sang.

They sang a variety of songs from each of their albums such as “Let It All Out (10:05)” from Dreamland, “You Are The Traffic” from Rainbow Mixtape, and “Fingers Crossed” from their self-titled album, Coin. They finished off the show with the classic COIN hit “Talk Too Much” from their sophomore album, How Will You Know If You Never Try

As the show came to an end, Chase gave all he had into the last song of the night, even scaling the side of the balcony as the song concluded. From the corresponding graphics on the screen for each song, to the high energy of the band, each moment became as captivating as the next. In making their return to the Chicago stage after nearly two years, COIN made sure this night was not to be forgotten, and that it would be an experience that sticks in the hearts and minds of all who attended.
