Show Review: Loathe Headlines at the Echoplex with Static Dress, Omerta, and Unity
Progressive Metal band, Loathe, based in Liverpool has been taking the US by storm the last month on their headlining tour titled “I Let It In And It Took Everything”. The tour is named after their 2020 album release that has curated over 12 million streams on Spotify.
Loathe performed the entirety of their 2020 album. Frontman, Kadeem France, and vocalist, Erik Bickerstaffe’s voices’ divaricated throughout the venue in shoegaze style to blend with the instruments perfectly. The band sounded identical to their studio performance. The energy of this crowd was amazing in the way that you could tell they had been waiting to hear this album live again since the last show Loathe performed in Los Angeles.
Some favorites to hear live were “Screaming”, “A Sad Cartoon”, and “Aggressive Evolution”.
The overall energy of the show was amazing, and it is evident Loathe is a band truly meant to be playing live music.
The band is set to return to the stage for a North American Spring Tour in 2023. Find dates and information at the link here.
