Nashville-Based Trio Goldpark Shares the Second Single from Forthcoming EP, "Covered in Sunshine"

The validation that comes with constantly being connected to the world through a phone or computer screen is something many people in this day and age crave. However, what they are not realizing is that the real connection to the world is found in taking time to embrace the outside and all it has to offer-- people, nature, and new experiences.

In Goldpark’s new single, they dive into this concept and what it truly means to be, “Covered in Sunshine.” The Nashville-based band released their second single from their upcoming sophomore EP, set to be released later in the year. Following the first single, “Lady Lightyear,” the trio continues to explore the indie-rock genre, and are doing a hell of a job in perfecting their live shows, rounding off their U.S. tour through the end of this month.

“Covered in Sunshine'' is reminiscent of artists such as Colony House, Vacation Manor, and Sun Room. Embodying a light tone and insanely positive vibes, this single has the energy of the summer season rolled into a smash hit. Starting off with a groovy baseline and a beat you can’t help but bob your head to, “Covered in Sunshine” is produced with the intention of making sure the listeners are having a good time. Featuring guitars to violins, this single has an array of sounds that create an incredibly catchy and vibrant instrumental.

Consisting of band members Wes Hunter (vocals), Andrew Smith (guitar), and Kyle Neblett (drums), Goldpark is full of rich sounds and feel-good creativity.

“‘Covered in Sunshine’ is about the power of stepping outside. All of these problems, anxieties, and fears that have come from a reliance on technology feel a little less heavy when we step into the sunlight. That’s where we realize where ‘real life’ actually lives,” Wes Hunter elaborates, “Being a ‘part of life’ isn’t being fully connected at all times with the world around through a viewfinder. It’s being a part of the outside world we forget about so often.”
