From Ashes To New Stops at Columbus’ Newport Music Hall

On December 3, 2023 From Ashes To New brought their tour to Columbus, Ohio at Newport Music Hall.  

This lineup consisted of Ekoh, Catch Your Breath, The Word Alive and of course, From Ashes To New, and boy, they did not disappoint. 

With a killer production, I’d have to say all of these talented musicians put on such an outstanding show. All the artists were so involved with their fans during the show which is something we tend to look out for. It truly makes us believe you’re having a great time on stage in a great atmosphere of the show.  

Ekoh came out into the crowd and stood on the crowd for one of the songs, which was a highlight of the set for the night.

Catch Your Breath had some dreamy backlight for their set using greens and blues. Vocalist, Josh Mowery connected with the crowd in a wholesome and fun way. He also came back out during the change over, singing along and dancing to the Backstreet Boys which to us is pretty metal.

Backward Noise is no stranger to The Word Alive! This time, their album Hard Reset took over the setlist, which made it so sick to hear mostly new music while opening a tour. For vocalist, Telle Smith this was a hometown show. From going to shows at this venue while growing up to playing it with his band now, he was smiling from ear to ear. The Word Alive is always one of our favorite bands to see live from their production to stage presence, you can’t ever go wrong seeing them live! 

Closing out the night was From Ashes To New, and man, do they know how to put on a show! We couldn’t keep our eyes off of them at all, the movement around stage was mesmerizing to watch, and with their stage set up and visuals it was definitely a must-see show. The band even played a little game in between the first two songs, going into the third to see which side was the loudest and it was incredible to see the excitement in the fans.
