Green Day Perform 'Dookie' and 'American Idiot' in their Entirety for The Saviors Tour in Pittsburgh

On September 1, 2024 Green Day brought the Saviors Tour to PNC Park in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania for a night of incredible vibes. Green Day performed Dookie and American Idiot in full for this tour celebrating the anniversary of both albums, making an immense 37 song setlist. Supporting the tour were the Linda Lindas, Rancid, and The Smashing Pumpkins!

Each band boasted a phenomenal performance, and was very entertaining to watch due to the differences of each act. Each band brought a different fanbase to the show, melding the audience together in the excitement of Green Day’s show to come.

This show was probably one of the best performances I’ve ever had the pleasure of seeing. Due to the setlist being nothing but Green Day’s hits, but also the entertainment they brought with them in their accompanying production. This show included heavy pyrotechnics, inflatable blimps that let go of mini inflatable blimps with the word “Dookie” on them, and an immense amount of fireworks that shot off during the entirety of the set.

Green Day amazed me by their performance and it’s something I’ll be thinking of for a long time. The crowd’s energy in singing back every word was absolutely breathtaking to witness, not to mention looking around during “Boulevard of Broken Dreams” to see every person in that stadium had their flashlights on. This was easily one of the most beautiful moment that shows had to offer.

Be sure you check out the rest of this tour, it’s not one you want to miss.
