Idobi Radio's Summer School Tour Kicks Off in Cleveland, Ohio
Do you miss Warped Tour? So do the bands at Summer School! Partnered with Idobi Radio, the Summer School tour was born to bring back the nostalgia of pop punk and mosh pits in the summer time. This is the first year for this touring festival and had the chance to hit the first date in Cleveland, Ohio at the Agora Theater.
The lineup consists of six amazing artists including The Home Team, Honey Revenge, Letdown, Magnolia Park, Scene Queen and Stand Atlantic! All of these bands put on a stellar performance alone, but mashed together on the same bill, you’re in for a treat!
I wasn't sure what to expect at first when hearing about this tour, since we have a lot of festivals trying to recreate the feel of the iconic Vans Warped Tour. I’m glad I got to go to the first night of this, especially since it was a hometown show for Scene Queen and the vibes were over the moon!
The Home Team never ceases to amaze me with their lively stage presence and fan interaction. Lead vocalist, Brian Butcher, exerts a remarkable energy onstage with impressive range. On July 12th, the group released The Crucible Of Life, which we got to hear some songs from at this first date!
Honey Revenge is also THAT band, full of life, interactive, and certified ass shakers for days! It was amazing to hear the entire crowd sing along to their set. Honey Revenge will be taking over the world in no time, mark my words.
Stand Atlantic is also one of those bands who drop nothing but banger after banger. This is one of my absolute favorite bands to see live because of the vibe they give while they are on stage and off, and are also some of the nicest people I’ve ever met!
This was my first time seeing Letdown and I have nothing bad to say, Definitely gained a fan out of me!
Magnolia Park always kills it and is such a fun band to see live. They were definitely a great pick for one of the headlining slots on this tour, the vibes during their set were absolutely immaculate!
Scene Queen closed out this night for her hometown set! She is always so fun to see perform. Even if she's not your cup of tea, see her live show and give her a chance. I love what she is doing to this scene, not afraid to be herself in this industry. I love when women like her take a stance in metalcore.
All in all, Summer School is the tour of the summer. Find a date near you for nothing but great vibes and music from a killer lineup of artists.
