Motionless in White Presents Touring the End of the World at Pittsburgh's UPMC Events Center
We were living like it was the end of the world when Motionless in White, Knocked Loose, After The Burial, and Alpha Wolf came to the UPMC Events Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on September 17, 2023 for their first date on the Touring the End Of the World tour.
This tour ranks as one of our favorites this year due to the production, atmosphere, fan interaction, and beyond. Motionless in White stepped up their production with the addition of fire in many different aspects of the show including dancers with flames twirling around and unloading sparks, setting books on fire, and sparks flying behind the band. These elements created a jaw dropping experience, and a massive shift from the production of the Trinity of Terror tour prior.
The Australian metalcore band, Alpha Wolf crushed the house as the first band to perform. Vocalist, Lochie Keogh is always so much fun to watch move around the stage and he even played a guitar that guitarist, Sabian Lynch laid on a speaker.
After The Burial played a mesmerizing set musically, but we weren’t very impressed with the dimly lit stage setup while the rest of the tour brought over the top productions and light shows. Regardless, their sound was fantastic and the mosh pits opening left and right gave us great vibes.
Knocked Loose opened with their song “Deep in The Willow”, sending the energy skyrocketing and becoming one of the most memorable sets of the night. Fans got rowdy for them, mosh pits were insane and speaking from a fan’s perspective, I was so impressed with the wall of death not getting messed up during “Everything Is Quiet Now.” Knocked Loose will forever be one of Backward Noise’s favorite bands to see.
As mentioned before, we were beyond impressed with Motionless in White’s set, an absolutely breathtaking performance all around. This show was definitely a great first date of the tour. Normally, we would make mention of the setlist, but what’s the fun in ruining that surprise? Rumor has it the band will be switching up the setlist for different dates as well….
