Prateek - Artist of the Week (05.03)

Prateek is a singer/songwriter based in Boston, Massachusetts. He is right at home in the folk and singer/songwriter realms.  

His first album, Walking In My Sleep, was recorded with just himself, his guitar, and two microphones. Staying close to that recording strategy, Prateek recorded a live album with just himself and a guitar. A play on words, he titled this album The Band’s All Gone.  

With a gritty voice that you don’t find very often, Prateek captures the listener’s attention.  Pairing his voice with vulnerable and truthful lyrics.

Since the pandemic has nixed all of the touring he had planned, Prateek has taken to the internet as have many other artists.  One of the biggest ways he has been doing is through the platform Patreon. The Sunday Sweatpants Sessions happen on his Patreon each Sunday to allow him and his fans to continue to experience his music.  

His latest single just came out in April 2021. This new track is titled “Wrong”.
