The Tennessee based musical artist and songwriter, Emily O’Neal, is returning to the music scene in full force with her latest single, “Two Little Fairies.” Leading up to the release of her debut EP later this year, “Two Little Fairies” is the second single following the overall fantasy theme of the future EP. Emily has been writing songs since the age of 13, and since, has fallen in love with the creative avenue to express her emotions into a beautiful outlet. The 19-year-old musician draws inspiration from artists such as Olivia Rodrigo, Lennon Stella, Taylor Swift, and AURORA.

“I felt compelled by the lack of female representation in songwriting and production.”

Throughout “Two Little Fairies,” the lyrics discuss the pain of losing youthful innocence and the connection of someone you grew up with. Emily’s lyrical imagery is impressively crafted and executed, and can be found in moments like, “summertime we play, couldn’t stop us in the rain,” and “taking oranges off the trees so we could climb them.” She is able to transport the listener back in time to a youthful age and their own personal childhood experiences.

Overall, “Two Little Fairies” is something only to be described as mesmerizing and incandescent. With a blend of steady piano and Emily’s captivating voice, the single is endlessly charming. “Living in treehouse fantasies we were two little fairies,” invokes a feeling of extreme nostalgia and a pure energy of young and limitless childhood love.

Emily has been celebrated not only by Nashville Songwriters Association International as “One to Watch,” but also is a semi-finalist for the Music City Song Star competition. In describing the musical process behind her songs, Emily explains, “Although I had a great experience working with producers (Dexter Redding (The Reddings, son of Otis Redding) and Lucio Rubino (Paramore, StorySideB)) on previous releases, I decided to return with a self-written and self-produced track.”

Emily O’Neal’s new single, “Two Little Fairies” is a whimsical and elegant song showcasing her raw talent and pure knack for music producing, available on all streaming platforms now.
