X Ambassadors Brings the Townie Tour to House of Blues Cleveland
The X Ambassadors rolled through Cleveland, Ohio on May 26, 2024 on the Townie Tour with support of Rowan Drake and New West.
Rowan Drake started the evening off with some nice, slower vibes that I really enjoyed. His voice is very beautiful to listen to. It was easy to close your eyes and let yourself feel what he was singing. Alone on stage with his guitar, accompanied by some nice, warm tone lighting, the set made you feel really secure - kind of like a tight hug.
New West was up next with a very fun and upbeat set filled with lots of crowd interaction. They really kept us on our toes throughout their set with some slower songs mixed in with fun, upbeat and playful songs. This made them a great opener for the tour that was truly enjoyable to watch.
X Ambassadors opened their set with their hit song “Renegades.” I really enjoyed this nostalgic moment, reminiscent of the song playing on the radio throughout my years in high school. Their lighting design to me was nice with warm and cool tones mixed in, giving the best of both worlds in the aspect of production. There was lots of movement throughout the set, mixed in with some memorable crowd interactions.
I would definitely see all these acts again, what a night for music!
