3-piece Indie band Cxpital is an alternative band based in Northwest, Indiana consisting of lead guitarist Tyler Maximoff, drummer Benji Grimler, and lead singer Lucie Ashmore coming all the way from Greystones, Ireland. With their complex and fulfilling harmonies that are paired perfectly with their dreamy guitars and bouncy rhythms, Cxpital gives you an amazing listen that will guarantee to be an instant replay.

The band started with just Tyler and Lucie as they were formally known as WAVES and rebranded into Cxpital after meeting Benji and asking him to join the band. Following the success that WAVES had, Cxpital released “If You Talk” in 2018 and have continued releasing music ever since. In one of their newer releases, “San Francisco”, you become immersed in the imagery the lyrics provide as you are taken into a flashback of the escape from reality that is being with a person you love. In the song, you are put into the headspace of missing what you once had and longing to have it again in order to get away from your “unstable reality”.

You can find the band on TikTok doing alternative rock mashups of popular songs such as “Drivers License” by Olivia Rodrigo and “Sex” by The 1975, along with a mash up of “Champagne Problems” by Taylor Swift and “She looks so Perfect” by 5 Seconds of Summer.
